Thank for all the replies. I'm still not sure what BIC unit is but it must control the electronics. 725 included a 90,000 mile service as well. I calld back to the dealer today and they have isolated the external temp gauge now as it told me it was -27 degrees yesterday. What annoys me is the temp gauge was working ok before I gave the car to the dealer and they say it is just another fault that showed up after the BICunit was fitted. So if I want it repairing I have to pay. I can live without it but it is disappointing.
