Nige, Thank you. And there is actually a route following the brake pipe lines along the body of the vehicle, but the difficulty (for me anyway) is jumping off that route at the front under the engine compartment and finding a way up to the battery without getting fouled up on any hot or moving parts. At the back it's a bit easier, but still more drilling as there is no convenient entry point to the boot. Still amazes me that Renault have appeared to make the mechanical bit so easy, but the electrical bit so difficult. I'll keep searching.
