Disconnecting a sensor and putting the system in fault will mask the problem as the ABS will be ineffective.

On Clio's with toothed ABS rings this fault is usually at low speed (I think) and the problem is normally a cracked or damaged ring.

You can't really visually check the magnetic strips in the bearings, but if one of them were broken you would expect the ABS system to flag a fault.

I think you are going to need a diagnostic session to see the live data from the wheel speed sensors.


Please take the time to enter your vehicle details in the "What's current in your garage?" box.

To do this:
Hover over the "TOOLS" tab at the top of the page
> then in the dropdown click on "User Dashboard"
> click on "Edit Your Details" at the top Left hand side.
> scroll down to the "What's current in your garage?" box and enter your vehicle details.
> Once the details are entered scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes"

> Done.
