MoT tester said no wear lip on the brake drums.

Trick to removing the centre console is to prise up the conical gear lever surround. Then 3 x Torx screws will be apparent surrounding the gear lever. Two more such screws in the rear passenger compartment makes a total of 5. Then it all lifts to reveal the handbrake adjuster.

Don't forget to retrieve all those coins you lost down there over the years!
