I've just had a similar problem with the immobiliser. Please post a blow-by-blow 'how to for dummies' if you get your car going.

Mine's a Laguna 2.0RTi. Wouldn't start a few weeks ago, but I got it going by spraying Quick Start into the air intake, and thought it was just a dirty injection system.

It wouldn't start tonight at Tesco and the spray wouldn't work. The Green Flag mechanic diagnosed a dodgy immobiliser so I read about this new (to me) thing and yes, I've a rapidly flashing central lock button and no power to coils , etc.

Annoyingly I had the car towed to a garage. Now I've read about immobilisers (and downloaded that prog), I'll be at the garage early to get my numbers.

Intersetingly, I noticed that the key now has a red light when pressed. I'd noticed the bulb cover before and also that there was no light when pressed.

If I'm back running before you post I'll post how I did it.
