Yes if you unlock the doors all the lights come on, Interior light and dash lights but if you leave it for a period they go off.

As a matter of interest check your glove compartment light see if it is staying on, this is a known fault with the glove box poor fitting lid on Scenic IIs and Megane IIs, If you open the compartment and put your hand on the light it should be cold if very hot it is staying on, Also you can check it at night once you lock the car it should be off, any light shining through and it is a faulty lid

As a matter of interest what model do you have ?
