Re: MOT Fail

Many things come down to the opinion of the tester.
I can understand a tester passing a minor crack but failing a more open one.
And can understand one inspector passing a minor crack but another failing it.
Having said that, I would have thought that any crack would be an indication of potential failure in the near future of a critical part of modern brakes.
And thus an immediate fail.

But I gave up worrying about MOT inspectors years ago.
I just avoid fast fit centres and garages who seem to be trading from MOT work.
Little bloke who does not much else but test cars all day long suits me.

And not worth arguing with them. They can be very helpful in explaining how to fix things if approached politely.
And can always find reason to fail your motor if you upset them.
Currently in Dancingdad's garage:
Qashqai 1.6 spark driven, Kia Sedona 2.9 TDI, Scenic II 15DCi 2004 (SORN) not quite RIP.
