Yeah 20 degrees centigrade is an internationally accepted standard - so it looks like it has gone into default. The ECU gathers temperature information not just from the induction air temperature sensor but also the engine coolant and I believe (don't quote me on that) the exterior temp., sensor located on the door mirror. I suggest you check all other temp sensors are working OK before you replace the intake sensor. Whilst it is running OK at present I could see cold starting problems when the air temp is low. There may be risks of over or under fuelling if it continues to run in default mode - both conditions don't do the CAT or exhaust sensors any good unfortunately.
