Hi kingscouser ... if its the body coloured cover then its held on with torx screws (you have to "pop" the mirror glass to get access), if its the mirror glass then its held on by a "snap" locating ring ... push to reseat the mirror .... if the "glass" is being held on by 2 wires .... they are for the heating element .... and finally, if the whole "pod" is hanging loose, then sorry its a new mirror assembly, as the pivot post has probably broken and its a lead/aluminium alloy casting.
