WHat is needed to replace ECU?

please. no-one mention my EGR , its fine. :-)

I have tried everything but still no boost, tried calling some tuners but they aren't interested in checking ecu and grobster wont answer his post. so.

I've seen replacement ecu 's on ebay for 70. will these bolt straight in? (1.9 dCi Priviledge 52 plate)

I went to scrappy and pulled one out, same numbers but car turned over and wouldnt start, even tried key from scrap car but no joy, so i left it.

What is needed to replace ecu and make it work? did i just try a duff one?
