It's a condition of my insurance policy to notify the Insurers of all accidents, whether the subject of a claim or not (all material facts).
However, in this case I can't see how they can find out, unless they read this forum!
Whatever you do, do not tell your insurance company!!
A few years ago, my Mum was hit by someone, but as there was no damage to either vehicle they decided not to take it further, my Mum still informed her insurance company just in case the other person decided to whack in a claim (they'd swapped details anyway) but was shocked to find that come renewal time her insurance had gone up because she'd "informed them of an accident"
