Sounds as though you might have a bit of play in the steering system somewhere Sel......I'd have it looked at first before you have the tracking checked.If there is a track-rod end or joint gone somewhere then this needs to be sorted before you have the tracking checked as otherwise you'll get a false reading.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
