Re: Laguna II Rear Brake Disc Mystery (Solved)

Took off the wheel to clean up the discs and found the problem.

The rubber in the slides / guides has completely deteriorated and the calipers are misaligned.

I took it to the MOT and it passed with just and advisory on the rear disc wear. I was almost tempted to complain about them passing a car with faulty brakes but kept my mouth shut. At least I can replace them now without any time pressure. The misalignment has messed up the discs, the pads and the calipers aren't functioning well so I'm just going to replace everything.
Let this be a warning to all to check your calipers guide pins!
