Re: Clio Front Brakes and Reluctor Ring Replacement
I take it mean the drive-shaft won't move inside the hub.
With hub assembly still attached to the suspension screw the big nut back on until it is flush with the end of the shaft. Using a large hammer and a protective piece of wood try thumping it inwards. If at first there may be no sign of movement tighten the hub not fully home, then slacken off until flush - repeat the hammering action - it may take several attempts before it shifts. Alternatively if you can get your hands on a simple hub puller it will help the shaft move. On no account hit the shaft or nut without a protective piece of wood as you run the risk of damaging the threads, etc.
When fitted new an thread-lock compound is applied to the splines and it an take a bit of effort to break its grip. Do not use heat as you can end up damaging the wheel bearing.
