Thanks for the info on the O2 sensor, I'll temporarily ignore that for now.

The MAP sensor was dirty, to be honest I had no idea what it was until you named it but there is a sensor on the inlet manifold which appears to have broken mountings although it does seem to have a nice airtight seal to the manifold still, I did remove it and found it to be very dirty so I wiped it over with a cloth & replaced it. I have no idea if this has a fault at all, Can you advise on how to test it?

The Engine coolant temp sensor I assume is working fine since the temp gauge does move as the engine warms up.

Spark plugs, I'll remove these again today, They are spanking new so I wouldn't expect a lot of discolouration but I'll inspect and possibly take a picture of their condition and post here.
