I have the factory fit reverse sensors on my Grand Scenic.

According to the handbook, you can permanently disable them by holding the park sensor on/off switch in for more than approx. 3 seconds (switch is on the lower right of the steering wheel), where the headlight beam adjustment or ESP/ASR switch is located). The light on the switch will then stay on.

You can temporarily disable the sensors by pushing the switch once, but they come back on after you switch the ignition off.

To return the system back to normal, hold the switch again for 3 seconds.

Hope this helps.
