Diesel Clocks Need Mileage Altering....how??
A couple of weeks ago my clocks went dead, first the rev counter and the speedo then ALL the lot went!!
Had a look on here to find a cure or how much it would be to replace them.....well the dealer prices were not an option.
I ended up dropping on a set for £20 (only snag is that they were off a diesel ) the rev counter stops reading at about the 5000 mark where as my old petrol clocks went to 7000.
Anyway the up shot is i put them in myself (VERY EASY TO DO) and they work great (checked speedo with sat nav )
ONE problem, the mileage was 38k but now reads 110k >>>>>SO... what are my options regarding altering the mileage??????
I believe it`s not illegal to change your mileage on your car unless you DONT tell any future buyers.
obviouslyi dont want to"change" it, i only want to return to the original reading.
