but as for VOSA. it's disgusting, it really is. who do they think they work for?!
Why? Themselves of course.
And what about the reply to the petition from Downing Street? They repeated more-or-less verbatim
what VOSA said when they
repeated what Renault had said.
Downing Street ignored the most essential word of the petition, presumably because they thought we wouldn't notice. That word is "INDEPENDENT"
used as an adjective in support of the requested inquiry. A forthright survey by a qualified "INDEPENDENT" engineer would have been reassuring. Instead, they copied and pasted what VOSA had said.
There is a new petition initiated by Michelle McGinley ('meesh' to us) for the government to look at VOSA's activities. I would rather have seen a petition to analyse the efficacy and usefulness of this agency taking into account its performance in the cases of the Clio bonnet accidents. I would also like to be reassured about the engineering qualifications of its personnel who seemed less than technical when they replied to our submissions.
Is this agency pleading inefficiency because of lack of resources (just like the police do)?
