Scenic Locking & Alarms

I have a Scenic 2001 Privelege + 1.8 petrol.
Although the car has been very reliable it has just started to have a couple of 'electrical' problems.
In the morning I often find the car unlocked despite being sure it has been properly locked the previous evening using the key fob.
In addition the alarm has become 'over-sensitive' and will trigger when cars pass by.
Has anyone experienced either of these problems?
Is there a simple cure?
