the dash ABS light should only come on when you start the car and goes off after the system has done its self-test (1 or 2 seconds at most), if it comes on a any other time there is a fault in the system.

If you have managed to trigger ABS activation then the brake pedal shoud pulse or even judder while the system works ... you may also hear clicking as the relays for the ABS operate.

Is this what you are experiancing?

Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
