Bro in Law fitted new plip batteries in one key (I have th eother) and it ran, sine then Mother in Law has driven it to the carpark at her work where it resides with the same fault? I did try both keys even right up by the reciever but neither got it working?
My question is What does the immobiliser actually control?
Say the transponder is damp or developed a short if you point your plip at it and try to unlock but it won't, and you enter via the noraml key method? If the immobiliser has not deactivated will it not permit the central locking button, wipers, indicators and windows to operate as per normal?
