Exactly the same fault (drivers side tail and side lights) has just happened on my 06 Grand Scenic 1.9 dci for the third time. The first time the Renault dealer fixed it it took them 3 days to find the fault and I couldn't get a satisfactory explanation of what they had done. The second time they claimed I had inserted a bulb incorrectly (I hadn't) and this had blown a fuse. They charged me 88 to replace it (as fuses aren't a warranty item), which I paid under protest. I have just checked all the fuses in the glovebox and they are OK.

At first I thought the problem might be linked to towbar electrics but the towbar guy has been back twice and checked everything out. He says it is definitely a Renault electrics problem.

Any suggestions which will mean I don't have to go back again to Camden Renault Milton Keynes gratefully received.
