Sorry Jeff but I can't remember what the fault was,but I would seriously advise against taking it to a main dealer.

I am biased of course,but if you find a decent independant they will have as much of an idea about your car than any main dealer.I always back the idea that dealers are there for warranty work and little else,but as I said I am probably not the person to ask..All of the really good mechanics/technicians I know work for either themselves or for independant garages,and although main dealers serve their purpose when it comes to really new models,they will not know anything about your car that a good independant garage won't.

Just out of curiosity,where abouts are you located?.We might be able to recommend someone in your area.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
