The law in the UK is based on fairness and reasonableness (although you wouldn't know it sometimes). The question is is it reasonable to expect a person with no mechanical ability to clear the drain pipes. Logically if you need to remove any items from the car there is a risk of someone who is not competent doing something when either removing or replacing items that could cause damage to other things on the car...thus possibly voiding the warranty. This would make it an unreasonable assumption. If it is required to unblock the drains in this situation it should be required on a regular service basis by the engineers or mechanics. There is also the question of reasonable expectation. Would you expect the car to have pools of water inside it at 2 years old. If you don't and it has then under the sale of goods act you have a case. Warranty periods have no standing in this case.
