Sorry, this means a bit of work. You need to get under the carpet. I'll bet, although it feels dry on top, the insulation underneath is swimming.
With previous soggy cars, I remove the sill trim, lift the carpet & insert a tabloid newspaper. Bet it comes out soggy after a week. Repeat until dry or fed up with doing it.
Either that or strip the lot out & hang to dry.
Still cheaper than rotten/ing electrics. Forum search r2 connector. R2 multiplug scenic corroded
