Ok i've had my Clio back from the Renault garage for 2 weeks now.
It's cost me another £306.66 to have my engin wiring loom changed as they said the problems i've been having are due to chafed wiring.
So far this problem has cost me £456.66
Fingers crossed the car has been well behaved and will continue to do so.
In all honesty though i can say i have lost faith in Renault and Clio cars. Reading on here the sheer numbers of people who have suffered similar problems with their cars going into limp home mode and the electrical fault engin management light coming on.
It amazes me i've been to that garage on 4 different occasions for the same problem and no one has managed to actually pin point what it was.
What ever happened to good old fashioned mechanics - they all rely on the information provided from theit little diagnostic machine. I'm told this isn't always accurate - it shows!!
Good luck to everyone else who has or is suffering similar problems.
