Smile Sorted - almost!

Thanks for everyone who bothered to read my problem. I've now found that the fuse for the clock wasn't seating properly (needed a bit a firm push) and that in turn sorted the radio out. The red triangle now appears to be a display fault that I don't remember ever being there before, it is very bright so I couldn't have missed it. Now I'm just left with the tickover which I'll worry about when I've been up and down the M42 a couple of times. Thanks again.
