Immobilisor Fault

After driving through a puddle i got an error message 'electrical fault' i was advised to remove the fuse box and clean/dry it. Ive tested all fuses and are all good. Car now states immobilisor fault. The car attemps to start untill the immobilisor message pops up and stops the starting action. Now the battery has died.

Any ideas?? Suggestions?? Trying to avoid the costly renault mechanics.
