Re: Which engine should I pick for a new Grand Scenic?

1.6 dCi is a great little engine - I've ridden it for 40 000 miles. Revvs up to 6000 rpm, purrs like a kitten, pulls like a pitbull, isn't noisy in the legal- speed range, you only know it's a diesel when you start it up and at the pump. But go for TCe, if your trips will be mostly short. It's quieter and smoother.

BTW 1.6 dCi has some special thermal management features which help it heat up quickly, but still 4 miles might not be enough.
