Is the alarm a Genuine Renualt or an aftermarket one?.
As for the speedo cable,I would first try and straighten out the run of the cable.The wobble on the needle is caused by the inner cable catching on the outer casing.Sometimes if you try and straighten out the twists and turns in run from the gearbox to bulkhead this helps stop this happening.
If this doesn't help then a new cable is reasonably straight foward to fit,just a bit fiddly,but as long as your reasonably confident in car maintenance then you should be O.K.The cables are available aftermarket so you don't have to pay silly money for a Genuine Renault one.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
