Car's going in next Monday ... power steering flush, new cam-belt and I'm having the brakes looked at because the handbrake feels a bit spongy ... works fine, but feels a bit 'wrong' to me. Could be paranoia again, but I learned to drive in a Corsa, which has a reassuringly 'ratchety' handbrake.

Being off the road is a bit of a pain, but not excessively so as I usually bike to work anyway.

According to the guy I spoke to at the garage, the whole screenwash in the power steering thing is very common and something that they see a lot of, not just in Renaults. Somehow I found that rather reassuring
