I've just found a set of discs and pads for 76 quid.... fitting maybe another 50 ?
Shop around.
National franchises tend to be good value for brakes though a decent independent will often be cheaper.

Yes handbrake uses same pads as foot brake.
But operated by differing mechanisms.

If brakes are okay otherwise, just stick it in gear when parking up for extended periods and leave the handbrake off.
This sort of sticking can and does occur even with brand new kit on board
Thanks for your info there. Yeah I wasn't sure if that was expensive or not. The garage is quite good and I've only used them a couple of times and they're not really that local. Anyway they're one of a few garages I have used. It's hard to know who to use and trust and who won't rip you off.
Well I've emailed another garage I have used lots in the past but not for a while. I've detailed the issue so will see what they say and if they have any prices for options.
