If you are happy with the car why change for the sake of change.
The Renault extended warranty is a good one if rather pricey, there are other warranty's available but are they as comprehensive as the Renault one ? , I personally would not own a modern car without a comprehensive warranty as I'm sure you are aware some of the repair costs can be horrendous even for what can seem a straight forward repair.
With the cambelt change and an extended warranty to pay for it is quite an expense and you would need to keep the car for a considerable period to get value from the outlay, But if you chose to move the car on in a private sale after a year it would have added value carrying a comprehensive warranty.
