I used to have a FM modulator to listen to mp3, however it did not plug into the antenna lead, just broadcast & was picked up by the radio. It worked reasonably well, but was suseptable to interference from (Pirate) radio stations on the same frequency, ment I had to keep changing the frequency to avoid bleed through.
I am much happier with the Aux input adappter, but it does require a basic level of knowledge to install. (the modulator just plugged in the cigarette lighter & you plugged a USB key straight into it. I still have it, its great as you can put it in any vehicle you are travelling in. But the aux adaptor is deffinatly better.
