Have you tried this reset procedure? It's taken from a renault blog site. I don't know if it will cure your problem but it can't do any harm to try it...or can it?

This will then reset the computer and go through a test sequence. Remove the key to stop it.

I removed the hyperlink which I had posted earlier as I think there may have been a couple of dodgy scripts on the page.
