Exclamation Laguna I ,Intermittent petrol leak

Hello Renault friends,
I have a problem with an intermittent petrol leak on my Laguna 1.8 RN Estate: Every now and then there is a really terrible smell of petrol coming from somewhere on the front half of the car. I have had my car three times already for an investigation about that at my official Renault Dealer's Garage. But they cannot find anything and tell me that everything is ok. But the smell is at times so terrible that no one else wants to travel in my car! Please help! Apart from anything else, I am worried about the risk of fire! All petrol pipes and connections appear to be dry and tight.

I have made a modification to the rear exhaust mounting, which prevents the rear silencer from dropping lower when one of the rubbers splits: It is a 20mm diameter disc, of which I made two and with a boss of 14mm dia and two threads with grub screws to grip onto the 8mm dia round bar on the body and the silencer, which I turned on my lathe.
With best wishes,
Currently in Tom Ackermann's garage:
