Hi Jamesy - this problem has come up before. The system monotors the lighting circuits for specified resistances and any changes will result in showing it as a fault. For instance thats how it knows when a bulb has blown. If bulbs with a higher or lower resistance are fitted it will show as a fault. This can be overcome by fitting additional resistors to the rear of the bulb holder.
As a matter of interest was your car fited with Xenon headlights from new and if so have you had any problems with the self-levelling system
Why do you ask about my self leveling system ???
yes its had xenons from new and the self leveling seems to have a mind of its own , at night somtimes when im following somone the light go upwards and dazzle the driver in front for about 2 seconds or so
also how would i fit a resister onto my wires on the side light holder (which wire , any photos) thanks
