Re: So much for doing away with Tax Discs
Oh dear another government financial blunder.
According to figures the number of untaxed vehicles has doubled since the need to display a tax disc was abolished. The financial loss now amounts to around £80 million. The predicted saving of £10 million hasn't really materialised. In my opinion all the more reason to abolish it all together and apply the revenue required to the fuel duty.

Either that or greater use of ANPR cameras ... goes to show lack of use in certain areas when daughter drove her old car for 3months not realising MoT had expired until she went to renew tax ....
