Re: Sticking Hand brake

Ok I'm back with probably another dumb question (!) so here goes: just how much does a hand brake need to be pulled to secure a car enough on flat ground? I always press the button to pull hb up but I know some let it click click click which is something I've never done. I don't even know if there's a right and wrong method for applying the hb? That got me thinking, the clicks do they mean each click the brake had been applied and each subsequent click means it's been applied tighter in the brakes? So one click being lightly applied and several meaning a tighter application? Or can one click mean the hand brake is not on at all? Yep, I know it's probably a stupid question but I'm trying to determine if I can put the hand brake on lightly to reduce risk of stick or if light or hard application will be just the same outcome?
