The first point about cleaning things and making it obvious that the car has been looked at would be a plus point to me and many other testers.It shows that the owner does actually care about the state of their car.

And of course,there are always people who will be dishonest and invent things that aren't there,but I would say in 99% of cases with MOT testers,this isn't the case.It just isn't worth the risk of being struck off or your garage loosing it's test licence.Criminal cases can and have been brought about by MOT test abuse.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
