Some manufacturers don't use the ISO standard correctly and cross over the connections for ignition live and permanent live. Guess what... Renault is one of them.

I found this out while installing the Parrot hands-free kit in the Clio. You have to cross over the two feeds to get things to work correctly. Parrot mention this posibility in the instruction manual and give you a way of swapping over the wires in the loom.

If Alpine are still using the individual power feeds with the standard colour coding (as opposed to a multi-plug) then this should be a simple case of crossing over the red and yellow wires to the ISO adapter. If the adaptor is of the 'plug to plug' variety, then they'll either have given you a way of swapping the feeds over, or you'll have to butcher the wiring. It's pins 4 and 7 on the power ISO connection that need swapping if you end up having to do this.
