I've had to strip them out and free off joints and the ratchet screw mechanism but never replaced.
And I've worked and owned some right nails.

Usual problem to that a lever pivot point is sticking or the ratchet screw is clogged up and sticking.... so self adjuster doesn't work.

Quick and dirty solution is to adjust manually but only means adjustment will degrade in a month or so.
Better is get the drum off and have a looksee.
Had a Yaris and had to replace shoes and handbrake mechanism due to adjuster failing and lever on shoes siezed ...could only get adjuster from Toyota too.. cost 43
