Agreed it what should be done. But if your buying a car from a garage or a personal car seller they should make sure the car is in safe working order for it to be drove people can be killed by other selling dodgy cars. Now I'm no mechanic but what if it was a young women buying the car ? Now I don't mean to sound sexist but some women wouldn't know where to start. It's foolish to think the buyer is the only person to make sure the car is safe. I have never sold a car that isn't road worthy and nether should other. And some people haven't got the kind of money to pay for parts that need replacing every month It is the sellers responsibility to make sure the car is safe and reliable as stated in the sellers ad.
