Ampage/Wattage re Heater Blower Motor

Right. I still haven't managed to scrape together the money to enable me to get an auto electrician to get to the bottom of my heater blower motor problem but it is obviously causing me a lot of grief now the frosty mornings are here.

What I intend on doing is to rig up my own direct wiring from the battery to the blower motor (as the motor itself is working) to include a fuse and switch so I can independantly switch the motor on to at least get some air flowing when I need it the most.

What I need to know, if anyone has any idea, is;
  1. What ampage wiring would be best used
  2. What rated fuse
Cheers and rep to anyone that can give me a definative answer 'coz, I'd rather get a semi fix for the time being than crash because I cannot see out of the damned windows .

Currently in scatz's garage:
2004 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B, a 2013 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Sport S-Max and a 2001 Honda NSR125R
