I'm not 100% sure about this,but it's either a case that the fixed price is worked out including VAT,or it's classed as a safety item and then is not VAT chargeable,just as a pair of trainers are but a pair of steel toe capped boots aren't.
I'll try and find out.....
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
