So, in reality what you mean is just for everyone to choose another method of transport for one day?

I don't know - car's are so expensive to run (and park), I'd think most people would've already chosen the economically viable option which gave a reasonable degree of convenience.

As long as the Government can profit from skimming more money from the motorist by playing the 'green' card, then I can see no change in the punitive taxes.
