could do if who ever fitted it did not replace it with battery disconnected from start to finish, otherwise the ecu in handbrake box thinks the cable has snapped then will put a warning up on the dash inspect handrake function.. heres the bad news, this fault warning cannot be removed in any other way than to plug it in to a diagnostic platform either at renault, or what i have found works a treat is autocom cdp+ i got mine a few years ago from china just search internet at they are advertised, renault will charge over 60 just to switch out light, you car buy one on these autocoms for around 50 and it will do everything that renault can prettymuch, ie i have encoded injectors fuel pumps handbrake boxs service lights even change a ecu from a secondhand one on a lot of cars.
