Re: scenic 11 brake master cylinder
Its air filter housing wipers and scuttle panel off
Once you have got to the master cylinder, undo the two nuts holding it in place, dont take them off just slacken them
Disconnect the pipe to the clutch, disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder.
Now take the two nuts off, replace the new master cylinder
Fit the brake pipes , DO not tighten them up at this stage, fill the reservoir with fluid,
No air can get in the brake pipes you have taken off the master cylinder, they still have fluid in, get in the car and pump the pedal slowly, 6 times is enough, now tighten the brake pipes to the master cylinder, try the brake pedal if it is ok then put the car back together.
If you have tried to bleed the system, then realised there is a fault with the master cylinder, then its a full system bleed,
Then its o/s rear ,n/s rear ,o/s front , n/s front in that order for the bleeding sequence ,
Should take 3 hours if you need to do a full system bleed,
