Have had a problem with my 2002 Laguna II 2.2DCi.
ESP is showing a fault, had it plugged into a diagnostics machine and it's showing steering angle sensor as the problem. System was reset and the ESP could be switched on and off, however as soon as you turn more than half a turn left the ESP flags the fault again.
Any ideas on sorting this or is it the sensor that is screwed?
Is this sensor part of the steering column and will the whole column will need to be changed or can the sensor can be changed independently?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The angle sensor is a collar fitted just behind the wheel. You need to disconnect the airbag and then remove the wheel to get at it. Once replaced the ESP system will need calibrating using the diagnostic tool.
