Hi Lib - have the same one on my Clio - once they get wet the circuit board or one of its components usually get fried. The type of board you have is not interchangeable with other cars - so you need to get one from renault -last price I heard was around 120 plus as it needs to be programmed to suit your car and key. I didn't bother fixing mine as the central locking still works via the drivers door and seeing I have to put my hand on the door to open it anyway - the need for remote locking seems pointless. Even if you could get a second hand on which worked you would need the remote key fob to match.
